2021 Tesla Model 3

Of the most competitive choices on the market for electric vehicles, the 2021 Tesla Model 3 is, without a doubt, the most recognized. It borrows some styling cues from Model S and Model X SUV but goes its way with an impressive interior style and an all-glass top. Acceleration is fast, and the Model 3 chassis is playful, particularly the Performance Model’s that earns a sportier suspension and a track driving mode. But EV customers are more likely to be involved in driving range than speed or handling, and Model 3 delivers there as well. The standard model gives an EPA driving range of up to 263 miles, and the more costly Long Range model can be up to 353 miles per charge.

What’s New for 2021?

Tesla is offering its entry-level Model 3 sedan a range of upgrades for 2021, including external styling features that traded neon chrome for black satin trim. Three new wheel styles offer a fresh look to the rolling stock, and the trunk lid is now power-operated. Attractiveness updates begin inside the vehicle, where the metallic door sill protectors inherit the black satin trim to complement the exterior.

The Model 3 central console has been modified to fit two wireless mobile charging blocks, and the sunscreens are now using a magnet to hold them in place. The seat-adjustment settings and the steering-wheel-mounted infotainment scroll wheels have new finishes—the former in graphite color and the latter in brass. Most significant of all is the enhanced driving range of Model 3.

The Regular Range Plus model now offers a driving range of 263 miles on a charge, up from 250, while the Long Range model boasts a 353-mile range, 31 miles more than the 2020 model produced.

Let’s see what the model provides:

Safety:

Built for Safety
Safety is an essential aspect of the overall architecture of Model 3. The metal construction is a blend of aluminum and steel with optimum strength in all regions. Model 3 defied its weight four times in a roof-crush experiment, even with an all-glass roof: the same weight as two full-grown African elephants.

Security – First Design
Model 3 is designed from the ground up as a hybrid vehicle—with ultra-high-strength steel and a low, stable center of gravity.

Rigid Structure
The blend of aluminum and steel allows to produce the highest structural rigidity and improve the occupants’ stability.

Impact Protection
Coinciding with impact-absorbing rails and center-pillar supports, the solid battery pack’s power and support offer protection on both angles.

Relatively Low Chance of Rollover
The floor-mounted battery pack’s location and weight provide a shallow center of gravity, allowing a minimal rollover risk.

5-Star Safety Rating
Model 3 earned the NHTSA 5-star safety award in all categories and subcategories with its energy-absorbing crash framework, rigid passenger compartment, excellent side impact protection, and one of the lowest rollover chances of any road sedan.

Performance:

The fastest acceleration
Model 3 comes with the choice of dual-engine all-wheel drive, 20” Überturbine Wheels, and Quality Brakes, and lowered suspension for complete control in all climatic conditions. And the carbon fiber spoiler increases stability at high speeds, allowing Model 3 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.1 seconds.

3.1s
Fastest acceleration—from zero to 60 mph in as little as 3.1 seconds.

162 mph
Improved control and aerodynamics make a top speed of 162 mph.

AWD
Dual Motor Four-Wheel Drive controls stability and torque under all weather conditions.

20” Überturbine Wheels and Performance Brakes
Includes Pirelli P Zero tires, more strong brakes, and lowered suspension for better handling and efficiency.

Carbon Fiber Spoiler
Enhanced aerodynamics and increased stability at speeds of up to 162 mph.

Performance Pedals
Crafted with aluminum alloy for improved interior decor.

All-Wheel Drive:

Dual Motor
Tesla All-Wheel Drive has two separate engines for better reliability, each with a single moving component for reduced maintenance and full durability. Unlike conventional all-wheel-drive systems, they remotely control the torque on the front and rear wheels for much-improved handling and stability control.

2
Specific motors digitally control the torque of the front and rear wheels.

10 ms
Dual engines adapt to changing situations in as little as 10 milliseconds.

Weather
Unparalleled traction and stability in all weather conditions.

Range:

Go anywhere you want
Model 3 is entirely electrical, meaning you don’t need to hit a gas station again. If you recharge at home at nighttime, you will wake up to a new battery every morning. And when you’re on the path, it’s easy to connect—at any public station or with the Tesla charging infrastructure. They now have over 20,000 Superchargers around the world, with six new outlets opening each week.
